Individual Psychotherapy

Our practice provides depth-oriented psychotherapy.  This means we work with individuals to help them understand their "unconscious" (automatic) thoughts, drives and beliefs, in order to create lasting change in relational and behavioral patterns.  While we work with a wide range of concerns, particular areas of focus include:

  • Self-doubt

  • Uncertainty

  • Feelings of emptiness

  • Anxiety and fears

  • Relationship/intimacy concerns

  • Grief and loss

  • Trauma

  • Anger

Our therapists most often use methods that are based upon psychodynamic, relational and existential therapies.  We also draw from feminist and multi-cultural approaches, and utilize cognitive-behavioral techniques when helpful.  You can find more information about our approach here.
